EIP and Sierra Club File Lawsuit Targeting Thousands of Violations at Luminant's Big Brown Coal-Fired Power Plant

On May 1, 2012, the Environmental Integrity Project, on behalf of the Sierra Club, filed a lawsuit against Energy Future Holdings and its subsidiary Luminant Generation Corp. (formerly TXU), in federal court in Waco, Texas. The suit alleges that the Big Brown plant, a coal-fired power plant located south of Dallas, Texas, exceeded its air pollution limits on thousands of occasions over the past five years.
