EIP Files Suit to Expose Details of Closed Door Meetings on Clean Air Act Rules

EIP filed a Freedom of Information Act complaint yesterday, May 8, 2012 asking the US District Court to require the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to release records of meetings on key Clean Air Act rules between OMB and various interest groups. The requested records include several meetings attended by OMB Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs Administrator Cass Sunstein, including one with Congressman Darryl Issa and four with industry representatives on the mercury air toxics rule.
