EIP Comments in Support of Strict Federal Standards to Cut Mercury and Other Toxic Air Pollutants from Coal Fired Power Plants

U.S. EPA’s proposed new rule will greatly reduce the amount of toxic air pollution from coal fired power plants, and the rule will have both health and economic benefits.  EIP supports the proposed rule, and urges EPA to go further to reduce toxic emissions during “startup, shutdown, and maintenance” periods, when air pollution levels can be at their highest.
